Handheld devices utilizing APS' electronic ticketing system, PocketCitation solution, enables officers to issue a ticket/citation in 6 to 10 clicks. PocketCitation allows officers greater mobility and less time at road-side traffic stops. Using embedded intelligence, the software automatically populates the appropriate statute number, fine amount and court information - along with a state-issued citation number. APS customizes the software to match the exact process flow to meet the requirements of local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. Agencies can select from handheld device models, ranging from consumer to extremely rugged devices. Using a wireless Bluetooth connection to a thermal or laser-jet printer, PocketCitation has the ability to connect to a back-end database system and transfer data.
