    The Recoil Control Thumb Rest improves the shooting speed and accuracy of the Walther P99/SW99 pistol. Shooting with the weak hand only, the thumb rest reduces muzzle jump by 70 percent, strong hand only reduces it 50 percent, and when shooting with both hands, muzzle jump is reduced 40 percent. This ambidextrous thumb rest prevents the thumb from touching the slide, thereby avoiding "slide cuts" on the web of the shooting hand.
