CBRN SCBA upgrades

Aug. 20, 2007
MSA has received NIOSH approval for NFPA 1981-2002 and 1997 edition CBRN SCBA Upgrade Kits. These new upgrade kits will allow a user to upgrade field-deployed MSA MMR SCBA to respiratory protection against chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) agents that might be used in a terrorist attack. The performance of this new level of protection is in accordance with the stringent live-agent test regimen of the NIOSH approval process. MSA has designed a simple upgrade process that is quick, easy, and economical. The existing second-stage regulator in your MMR SCBA is replaced with a CBRN-protected Firehawk™ regulator, at any MSA authorized C.A.R.E. facility. Using an easy-to-use ATO (assemble-to-order) matrix will help ensure customers receive all components necessary to upgrade their SCBA.
