Quick Detach System

Aug. 20, 2007

With the ever growing popularity of the EOTech XPS Series scopes, GG&G has received numerous inquiries about providing the Accucam Quick Detach System and Lens Covers for this outstanding optic. GG&G developed and field tested these EOTech XPS upgrades, and now offer these two new tactical accessories for these popular EOTech Scopes.

The new Accucam QD System for the EOTech XPS Series is a scaled down version of the Accucam QD System (NSN: 1240-99-696-3341) provided for the civilian, law enforcement and military for the EOTech 551 and 552.

The GG&G Accucam QD Mounting System is still the only QD Lever System sold today that does not add height to the EOTech scopes, because the innovative quick detach system retrofits directly to the XPS body. The Accucam QD Locking Lever System for the XPS replaces the EOTech socket head screw or thumbnut attachment method with no other modifications required. The GG&G Accucam system installs in approximately 10 minutes, with the only tools required being a 7/64-inch Allen wrench and a torx head wrench which are both included in the kit. Weighing only two ounces, the Accucam is fully adjustable to fit Weaver and MIL-STD-1913 dovetails, even those that are worn or out of spec.

Once the Accucam QD Lever System is installed on the XPS, the sight can be quickly installed on a dovetail rail by rotating the Accucam Cam Lever to the locked position. It can then be quickly removed by rotating the Accucam Cam Lever to the unlocked position. During testing, the EOTech Accucam Locking Lever System has shown to be repeatable to less than 1/2 MOA. The unique finger loop design is easily operated, even with a gloved hand and the rounded design is ergonomic and virtually snag-proof.

The GG&G Flip Up Lens Covers for the XPS are the only ones available for this expensive scope. They fit between the EOTech hood and the body of the EOTech housing. They are spring operated so that once pressure is applied to release them from the closed position, they spring open. The rear cover lies across the top, so as not to interfere with the field of view, while the front cover opens and serves as a sun shield. However, if heavy brush or other obstacles are encountered, the front lens cover will fold back so that it is not damaged. Because of the contours of the EOTech housing, these covers are not 100% waterproof, but they do prevent most dust, debris, rain and snow from accumulating on the lenses. These unique lens covers are easily operated ambidextrously to provide operational flexibility. The design and methodology is so unique that we were awarded a patent.

For those wishing to have fun with their tactical accessories, GG&G offers an engraved front cover with “FRONT TOWARDS ENEMY” at no additional charge.

GG'G has also available a Quick Detach Locking Lever mechanism for the EOTECH 551 and 552 holosight.
