Pin Hole Camera for License Plate Recognition

Aug. 20, 2007
EyeNet Enforcement Systems Inc.'s micro-camera technology integrates with its automated license plate recognition (ALPR) software. Reading the video signal feed from "pin-hole" type covert cameras as small as 1 inch hidden in the lightbar of a patrol car, EyeNet's ALPR software scans the video image and automatically reads up to a thousand license plates an hour. Utilizing color cameras, the EyeNet software runs on existing laptops and cameras can be placed inside or outside the vehicle. EyeNet can deploy license plate reading solutions in both mobile and fixed applications for patrol and security.
