eViewLink is designed to enable real-time wireless video collaboration between an expert in the office and personnel in the field. The eViewLink system includes a wearable, wireless eViewLink portable unit; the eViewLink console for use on a stationary computer; and the eViewLink server for bridging connections between portable units and stationary console operators. The eViewLink portable runs in any 802.11 wireless hotspot, and works over the public Internet making it easy to share video with consultants anywhere. The portable system, from ESPRE Solutions Inc., weighs less than 1 1/2 pounds and current configurations enable the device to be worn on an individual's back or at the hip.
