Each model is designed to give an officer the full awareness of his surroundings and work as if he has nothing in his ears. If an officer encounters gunfire or is using flash bang grenades in a tactical situation, the unit will suppress this louder noise level to a safer limit without limiting the officer's ability to hear. Several models exist from custom fit to stock analog or digital. Many of these units can work with radio systems.
