DoubleStar Corp. introduced the DSC 1911 slide to the public market in June. The slide is made from a 4140 steel forging that is then heat-treated to Rockwell 38-40 on the C scale before machining. The process eliminates the potential for dimensional distortions during the machining process and allows production to be held to very close tolerances, adding to fit and accuracy. One of the key benefits of the DoubleStar slide is its front and rear serrations. Other added benefits are the Novak dove-tail cuts for front and rear LoMount sights. The slide is currently available only in 45 A.C.P.
