Defender military goggles

Aug. 20, 2007
Centurion Systems, Inc. introduces its evolved version of military goggles; the Defender. With a choice of image intensifiers ranging from Gen 2 to US Gen 3, Centurion's bi-ocular night vision goggle is not only powerful but can be customized to needs. With an integrated adjustable (75mW) IR illuminator featuring an optional spot/flood focus knob, it would able to detect individuals anywhere from 220 to 360 yards with the use of a Gen 2 or Gen 3 tube, respectively. The Defender's lightweight and waterproof body also protects against excess light exposure so that the internal components operating the unit are not inadvertently damaged. An automatic brightness control regulates the intensity of the user's viewing area and ensures a clear image no matter the surroundings while there is an interpupillary adjustment from 55 to 76 mm. The Defender is US Army helmet mountable allowing for 'hands-free' operation and is comfortable for prolonged use. The goggle can also be further enhanced by Centurion's 3x magnifier lens accessory.
