Denver, August 14, 2017:  Futurecom Systems Group, ULC today announced they have taken over the production, support and ongoing development of the Siren and Lights Interface Module (SLIM) sold worldwide exclusively by Motorola Solutions, a leading provider of mission-critical communication solutions and services for public safety and commercial customers.

The SLIM module is a small device that interfaces between third party sirens and the Motorola Solutions APX™ mobile two-way radios. Using SLIM, first responders can control their vehicle’s lights, sirens and public address through their APX mobile radios. The use of SLIM allows for a cleaner and safer vehicle cockpit as well as a faster and more cost effective installation with only one cable between the mobile control head and trunk.

"Futurecom is committed to enhancing the safety and efficiency of first responders, and with the addition of SLIM to our solution suite we have ensured first responders have the tools they need to do their jobs.” said Dave Ray, Futurecom Senior Director- Product Engineering.

SLIM will be shipping from the Futurecom facility in Q4 2017 and will be sold exclusively through Motorola Solutions worldwide.

Futurecom is showcasing SLIM at the APCO International Conference in Denver, CO Booth #1015 from August 14-15, 2017.

Headquartered in Concord, ON, Futurecom Systems Group, ULC is a leader in the design and manufacture of RF coverage extension solutions for public safety customers. Futurecom’s customers include major radio equipment OEMs, public safety users, utilities, integrators and two-way radio dealers. Futurecom is owned by McWane Inc., a family-owned business located in Birmingham, AL. McWane is one of the world's largest manufacturers of iron water works and plumbing products, and one of America's largest privately owned companies.

When first responders need RF coverage, they bring Futurecom.
