Phalanx Defense Systems, LLC, a leader in the design, development and manufacturing of body armor and protective systems, has announced David Whiddon as Armor Sales Executive. David will report to Dawn Irons, Channels and Sales Operations Director and will manage all dealer sales and assist in development of armor systems sales and support strategies globally. David brings years of sales and product application experience.
David is a Distinguished Military Graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and a graduate of the Defense Language Institute (DLI), Monterey, California. He served in the United States Army as an infantryman attaining qualifications including the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Airborne, Pathfinder and Air Assault Badges and the Ranger Tab.
David’s military roles included U.S. Northern Command and Southern Command positions and activity in the recent wars on terrorism. His military awards and decorations include Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Bronze Star, Defense Meritorious Service Medal (3 awards), Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal (2 awards), Southwest Asia Service Medal (2 campaign stars), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (5 awards), Multinational Force & Observers Medal, Saudi Arabian Liberation of Kuwait Medal and the Kuwaiti Liberation Medal.
Since leaving the US Army as a Lieutenant Colonel, David held positons at BAE Systems as Regional Sales Director for Latin America and the Caribbean. He most recently held the position Program Manager and Director of Account Management, Personal Protection for TenCate Advanced Armor.
