Sons Trauma Kit Eliminates Bulky Medical Pouches

Nov. 26, 2013
Ultra-Thin Trauma Kit designed to fit behind your body armor.

There’s nothing more important than gear readiness when saving a life. The Sons Trauma Kit was originally designed by an active duty SEAL medic, proving itself time and again over the last three years in Iraq and Afghanistan. Purposely built for maximum efficiency, the innovative Sons Trauma Kit eliminates bulky exterior medical pouches by fitting easily, securely and comfortably behind an operator’s ballistic plates or underneath concealable armor.

The fit is undetectable, comfortable to carry and instantly accessible. The contents are packed around injury patterns in order of priority for care and follow all Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) Guidelines and Protocols. The Sons Trauma Kits are packed in heavy--duty medical--grade vinyl and machine pressure sealed with RF--welded seams.

Patent pending design includes pull--tab and “rip--cord” for quick deployment. Now Available in two sizes. One that fits securely behind medium ballistic plates and another that is lower visibility and can fit in a small pocket.

Advantages:

Battle Tested Durability -- An after--action report from one operator told how he took two rounds of 7.62 in the front plate and was able to remove his undamaged trauma kit from behind and provide self--aid for his other wounds. No secondary fragmentation, no compromise in the contents.

Heavy--duty Medical grade vinyl keeps gear protected during long deployments. Designed to last 24--30 months. Outperforms the competition by a ratio of 2 to 1.

Protection -- Precision RF Welding -- The smooth continuous seam creates weatherproof protection for valuable medical supplies, becoming virtually indestructible when placed behind ballistic plates. Also, offers Buoyancy. Radio frequency welding is a very mature technology that has been around since the 1940s. Two pieces of material are placed on a table press that applies pressure to both surface areas. Dyes are used to direct the welding process. When the press comes together, high frequency waves are passed through the small area between the dye and the table where the weld takes place. This high frequency (radio frequency) field causes the molecules in certain materials to move and become hot, and the combination of this heat under pressure causes the weld to take the shape of the dye.

Comfort -- Spread Loading -- Low profile design, lightweight and no nylon pouch needed. Eliminates the danger of getting snagged when exiting tactical vehicles. Does not impede tactical movements, such as crawling, moving through small areas. Allows extra medical gear to be carried on a soldier improving the teams’ trauma care capabilities.

Ease of Use -- Customizable Pull Handle and Ripcord – Enables user full control over a full-- length ripcord size and color. Allows rapid removal and rapid access to your trauma supplies if the injured person is lying down or sitting, self--aid or buddy aid, conscience or unconscious. Designed for quick deployment, the contents are packed around injury patterns in order of priority for care.

Accessibility -- Can be retrieved instantly from under your ballistic protection while in a seated position, in tight quarters, or in confined vehicles. Replaces bulky kits worn are either on the leg, side or on the back. Should the patient need to be dragged out of harms way, this kit will remain on the person. Current kits get torn off in that process.
