SAN DIEGO, CA (NOVEMBER 18, 2013) – Public Safety agencies in Anoka County in Minnesota have selected TriTech’s Inform Suite as the foundation of their upgraded public safety technology platform. The Anoka County collaborative’s initiative for a new public safety enterprise is driven by the need for seamless integration of applications in its 911 center, law enforcement, jail, and fire agencies. Anoka County is purchasing TriTech’s full suite of public safety applications including Inform CAD, Mobile, RMS, and IQ, along with system hardware and implementation services. The highly integrated system is expected to provide financial and operational efficiencies for the 27 agencies involved in the project.
• Anoka County, located on the northern side of the Twin Cities Metro Area is home to 336,000 residents and is one of the fastest growing counties in Minnesota. The County, together with the Joint Law Enforcement Council (JLEC) and Fire Protection Council, has signed a contract to purchase and implement TriTech’s Inform Suite including computer aided dispatch (CAD), mobile data, data search and analytics, and records management (RMS) solutions. The TriTech suite of products will serve as the platform of integrated information systems across the County’s public safety agencies which include the 11 law enforcement agencies in the JLEC, 15 fire agencies in the Fire Protection Council, the county jail, and Central Communications which dispatches for all 21 communities in Anoka County.
• The new TriTech solutions replace a 30-year old CAD system and 14-year old police records system and provide a new level of integration to improve operations and emergency response. Through an integrated, scalable, and configurable solution, TriTech’s Inform Suite enables Anoka County to modernize its public safety platform and make business processes across its agencies more efficient and effective. The integrated workflow and improved information sharing across agencies will facilitate a more coordinated response between agencies and enhance officer safety.
• TriTech Software Systems was selected through a highly competitive procurement process. The user experience and integration between TriTech’s Inform CAD and RMS solutions and the configurability of Inform Mobile were well received by users on the selection committee. Most importantly, when the selection committee conducted reference visits to other agencies utilizing TriTech solutions, the users spoke highly on the company’s product reliability and functionality, as well as the company’s focus on maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Don Abbott, Director of Public Safety for the City of Fridley and Chair of the Contract Negotiating Committee for the Joint Law Enforcement Council:
“Our initial search for a new law enforcement records management system three years ago quickly expanded to encompass the need for of an integrated multi-agency and cross-discipline data system. We cast the vision of an information system that would support the collaborative manner in which all public safety agencies in Anoka County already work. The system’s overarching goal is to provide our law enforcement officers and firefighters with the information they require at the time and place they need it to keep our citizens safe. The TriTech suite will diminish redundant data entry and reduce errors to allow our staff to focus on their primary duties.”
Tony Palumbo, Anoka County Attorney and Chair of the Joint Law Enforcement Council:
“We are excited that for the first time in history, all agencies within Anoka County will be integrated on the same public data system, setting the standard for communities nationwide. With the new TriTech system, we will have 911 central communications, law enforcement, the jail, and fire protection on one system, and are able to minimize data entry, share date, and most important, improve officer and citizen safety.”
Chris Maloney, President and CEO of TriTech Software Systems:
"Anoka County’s integrated public safety initiative is an excellent example of a trend that’s occurring across the country. More and more agencies are joining forces to provide better service to their citizens through integrated systems that provide improved data sharing. The County’s investment in TriTech’s integrated Inform CAD, Mobile, RMS, and IQ solutions will provide a more efficient workflow for all users through every step of the emergency call lifecycle. TriTech’s Inform Public Safety Suite sets a new standard for integrated enterprise solutions to provide the right information, to the right people, at the right time – enabling faster, more informed emergency response.
