BELLEVUE, WA — Icom America, two-way radio solutions provider for public safety agencies, is attending the APCO 2013 Conference and Expo in Anaheim, CA. The annual event will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center from August 18-21 with exhibit halls open August 19-20. Icom will be at Booth 225, showcasing its new FR9010 Series P25 repeater, the new F8101 HF transceiver and its popular IDAS™ product line.
Icom’s new FR9010/FR9020 P25 digital repeater expands the company’s P25 interoperable solutions. Public safety administrators may combine the new digital P25 repeater with Icom's F9011 Series portable and F9511 Series mobile. These "all-in-one" radios operate P25 trunking, P25 conventional and analog, and feature AES/DES optional encryption and P25 CAP compliance.
Icom is also showcasing the new F8101 HF transceiver for "over-the-horizon" communications. The Mil-Spec radio is available in three different controller configurations for versatile installation and features Automatic Link Establishment, Selcall, powerful digital signal processor technology and user-friendly functions. Two types of automatic tuning antennas, the wide frequency AH-760 and the compact AH-740, are compatible with the new radio.
The IDAS product line will also be on display at Icom's Booth 225. The Icom Digital Advanced System operates 6.25 kHz ultra-narrowband technology and features superb audio quality and coverage, secure conversation and flexible migration. Radios on display include the versatile F3261D Series waterproof handheld, which features IDAS digital features and built-in GPS.
Over 5,000 attendees and visitors are expected to attend this year's APCO event. Pre-conference courses are available prior to the conference, from August 15-17. Over four days, starting August 18, more than 90 professional development and educational sessions will be offered.
