Baker Batshield

The portable Baker Batshield allows the user the ability to gain close physical proximity with an armed individual, while being safely positioned behind ballistic cover with two hands on the weapon. This lightweight protective shield provides an accurate shooting platform during a running gun battle, protecting both the patrol officer and the general public. Until the invention of the Baker Batshield, Immediate Action Rapid Deployment (IARD) tactics were reserved for SWAT, except during the direst of patrol response active shooter situations. Now, patrol first responders have the ability to quickly and quietly approach armed individuals before they decide to "go active."
