An off-duty police officer lost her life in the deadly terrorist attack at a concert in Manchester, England Monday night.
Officials said that the female officer was killed in the blast caused by suicide bombed while attending the Ariana Grande concert with her husband and two children, according to The Daily Mirror.
Her husband was listed in critical condition while her children were treated for injuries.
"One of the victims is a serving police officer but, respecting their family's wishes, I will make no further comment at this stage," Greater Manchester Police Chief Constable Ian Hopkins at a news conference Wednesday.
There were 22 killed and 119 injured when Salman Abedi detonated an IED in the foyer as fans exited the arena following the concert.
Detectives believe Abedi was by himself when he set off the bomb, but are investigating whether anyone else was involved and have made several arrests connected to the attack.
The United Kingdom's terror threat level was raised from 'severe' to 'critical', meaning another attack is possibly imminent.
Soldiers were placed on duty at vulnerable locations including Buckingham Palace, Downing Street and the Palace of Westminster.
