Video Shows Police Sniper Kill Hostage Taker

Tulsa Police Officer Jason Lawless shot and killed Salvador Reyes during a standoff after he broke into his estranged wife's house in the early morning hours of Oct. 18 and took her daughter hostage.

The Tusla police department recently released video showing a sniper shoot a suspect holding a 2-year-old hostage during a standoff.

Police say that Salvador Reyes broke into his estranged wife's house in the early morning hours of Oct. 18 and took her daughter hostage, according to KJRH-TV.

The woman was able to escape the residence with her other three young children and her boyfriend.

Police later identified the sniper as 18-year veteran Officer Jason Lawless.

The 2-year-old child wasn't injured in the standoff while Reyes was pronounced dead.
