S.D. Tribal Officer Shot; Suspect Sought

A Rosebud Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement officer in South Dakota was shot Wednesday morning and the suspected gunman is being sought.

A Rosebud Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement officer in South Dakota was shot Wednesday morning and the suspected gunman is being sought.

The FBI has joined the search for Linn Crossdog after he allegedly wounded the tribal officer around 1:30 a.m. in the Ironwood Neighborhood of the Rosebud Indian Reservation, according to KSFY-TV.

The officer was listed in stable condition and is being treated for his injuries.

Crossdog is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Rosebud Police Department at 605-856-2282.

The FBI will be handling the investigation of the incident.
