Police in Bellevue, Pennsylvania say that a man randomly assaulted a police officer early Thursday morning before shouting "Black Lives Matter."
Officials said that Domenick Hoy ran up screaming to the officer parked in front of the police station around 1:15 a.m., according to WPXI-TV.
When the officer rolled down his window to ask what was wrong, Hoy allegedly began punching the officer through the window, breaking his nose.
The officer exited his cruiser and was able to subdue the suspect.
"An unprovoked attack on an officer can't be tolerated by anybody," Bellevue Police Chief Matthew Sentner told the news station.
Hoy is facing a number of charges, including aggravated assault.
