A mischievous bunny ended up in the clink just before Easter, according to a Boston police captain with a sense of humor.

Captain John Greland posted a series of tongue-in-cheek photo to Twitter showing the Easter Bunny run into trouble after being caught in possession of Easter eggs without a proper permit.

The photos show the Easter Bunny sitting in the back seat of a police cruiser, being "paw-printed" at the police station and being placed into custody and left in a holding cell.

Ultimately, but bunny was rescued by a Good Samaritan who came in with 24 carrots in lieu of bail.
