Nevada Police Officer Stabbed; Suspect Killed

A Henderson officer was tabbed and a suspect was killed during a confrontation early Tuesday morning.

A Henderson, Nev. police officer was tabbed and a suspect was killed during a confrontation early Tuesday morning.

Officials say that officers attempted to stop a suspicious-looking man on a bicycle outside of a 7-Eleven in the area of Boulder Highway and Horizon Drive when the incident occurred around 3:30 a.m., according to KTNV-TV.

The suspect stabbed one of the two responding officers in the hip and thigh area and both officers opened fire, killing the man.

The stabbed officer was transported to Sunrise Hospital and was treated and released.

The incident is currently under investigation.
