A Marion County, Ore. Sheriff's deputy wounded in a shootout on Friday was released from the hospital on Sunday.

"We are wishing Jim a speedy and healthy recovery and would like to thank our community for their overwhelming support of Deputy Buchholz throughout this difficult situation," Sheriff Jason Myers said in a statement.
