Two Fired, Two Resign in Fla. Police Sex Scandal

All four were named in a report alleging that officers had sexual contact with a female crime analyst.

Two Lakeland, Fla. police officers were fired on Monday and another two resigned on Tuesday in a sex scandal that has rocked the department.

Sgts. Rusty Longaberger and David Woolverton were terminated, while Lt. Albert Wilson and Officer George Vidal quit, according to The Tampa Bay Times.

All four men were named in a report alleging that up to 10 officers had sexual contact with a female crime analyst over the past seven years.

Sue Eberle, the crime analyst who went public with a story of abuse, is currently on paid leave.

The case remains under investigation.
