Bullet Grazes Dallas Detective Serving Warrant

A narcotics detective was grazed by a bullet Monday night while serving an arrest warrant.

A Dallas narcotics detective was grazed by a bullet Monday night as officers attempted to serve an arrest warrant at a home.

The unidentified detective suffered the wound to his leg following the incident in the 4300 block of Fernwood Avenue around 8 p.m., according to The Dallas Morning News.

Officials told the newspaper that police approached the residence when shots were fired from inside.

Several of the officers returned fire as they retreated.

Tactical team members surrounded the home, but no suspects were found inside.

The incident is currently under investigation.
