A Montgomery police officer who was arrested Wednesday is accused of being caught delivering more than 3 pounds of high-grade marijuana to a residence in Mobile County.
The Mobile County Sheriff's Office has charged Lyvanh Ravasong with trafficking marijuana.
Ravasong had been with the Montgomery Police Department since 1998 and worked the police desk at headquarters. The corporal resigned from the department Wednesday, police said.
Mobile County Sheriff's Office deputies were executing a search warrant at 7201 Murray Heights in Irvington when deputies caught Ravasong making the delivery, according to a news release.
Ravasong admitted trafficking the marijuana across county lines, according to the Mobile County Sheriff's Office.
Mobile County deputies said Ravasong also is believed to be associated with a more than 16-acre marijuana farm deputies discovered in October off Old Citronelle Road in Chunchula.
At the farm, deputies said they found 100 marijuana plants drying in a shed, more than 150 plants in pots and two boxes full of marijuana waiting to be packaged. Four people on the property were arrested.
The investigations into both cases are ongoing, said Lori Myles, a spokeswoman for the Mobile County Sheriff's Office.
