Nov. 02--A handcuffed man who managed to steal an 18-wheeler in Brenham drove across four counties before Austin police stopped him this week, according to news reports.

The man, 22-year-old Jonathan Robert Love, escaped from a sheriff's deputy in Washington County after being picked up on a parole violation, KXAN.com reported.

About 2:45 a.m. Thursday, the handcuffed man somehow jumped a fence and broke out the window of a truck parked at a business, the station said.

Love drove about 90 miles before an Austin police officer spotted the truck, which had been reported stolen, according to WDTN.com.

After several officers joined the chase, Love was pulled over on Allandale Road, WDTN reported.
