INDIANAPOLIS

Thieves cut the locks off 65 storage units on Indianapolis' southwest side over the weekend, stealing everything from computers to clothes, police said.

An employee at Community Storage at 2930 S. Lynhurst Drive called police Tuesday morning after he found padlocks cut off multiple units.

While 65 locks were cut, only about 10 units had been broken into, police said.

Customers reported stereo systems, tools, a laptop and Harley-Davidson leather accessories stolen.

An employee said surveillance video from the business showed a man moving the cameras to obstruct the view.

Anyone with information is asked to call Indianapolis police or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
