Escort Motorcycle Officers Collide in Ohio

Two motorcycle police officers were injured in a downtown Cincinnati crash Thursday morning while they were escorting buses of family members to and from the Police Memorial Week Procession.

Two motorcycle police officers were injured in a downtown Cincinnati crash Thursday morning while they were escorting buses of family members to and from the Police Memorial Week Procession.

According to television station Local12 WKRC, Cincinnati, a motorcycle officer from Cincinnati and another from Miami Township (Ohio) crashed at Sixth and Race streets at about 10:30 a.m. Both officers were headed west and ran into each other, according to the television station.

The Miami Township officer’s motorcycle ran into a parked van and he was thrown from it, the station reported.

Both officers were transported to the hospital with the Cincinnati officer suffered a leg injury, but no apparent broken bones. The Miami Township officer suffered a broken wrist and facial lacerations.
