Man Mistaken For Intruder Killed by Own Family in Colo.

Littleton police are investigating how a man was stabbed to death by his own family. Witnesses said someone came into a home in Littleton about 11:45 p.m. Saturday.

LITTLETON, Colo.

Littleton police are investigating how a man was stabbed to death by his own family.

Witnesses said someone came into a home in Littleton about 11:45 p.m. Saturday.

A person in the home thought the person was an intruder and stabbed him multiple times.

The suspected intruder was taken to the hospital, he died of his injuries.

Detectives said they later determined the suspected intruder was actually a family member.

Littleton Police told 7NEWS the victim had keys to the home.

Detectives are working with the Arapahoe County District Attorney?s Office in the investigation.

So far, no formal charges have been filed.
