Child Rescued From Icy Indiana Pond

A 6-year-old boy was pulled from an ice-covered pond in Brown County on Sunday, police said.

BROWN COUNTY, Ind.

A 6-year-old boy was pulled from an ice-covered pond in Brown County on Sunday, police said.

Brown County Sheriff?s Deputies said they received a 911 call from a residence on reports that a child had fallen through a nearby icy pond.

First responders attempted to find the child, but were unsuccessful.

Indiana Conservation Officer divers recovered the child at 3:45 p.m., officials said.

The child was rushed to Riley Hospital for Children, but officials did not release the child?s medical condition.
