Man Wearing Ski Mask Vandalizes Dozens of Calif. Cars

San Diego Police said someone wearing a ski mask armed with a knife slashed the tires on dozens of cars and trucks around 9 p.m. Wednesday.

CARMEL VALLEY, Calif.

Dozens of people are waking up to vandalized cars in Carmel Valley Thursday morning.

San Diego Police said someone wearing a ski mask armed with a knife slashed the tires on dozens of cars and trucks around 9 p.m. Wednesday.

The cars were parked in the blocks surrounding Sea Grove Court off Del Mar Heights Road.

?There are a number of victims in this who had either tires slashed, cars broken into and there were actually a couple of garage prowls as well where he accessed the garage door openers and accessed a couple of garages,? Sgt. Pete Cohen of the San Diego Police said.

Police searched the area for the suspect but only found the knife used in the incident.
