Indiana State Police found 75 pounds of marijuana hidden inside the gas tank of a minivan stopped on Interstate 70 Wednesday morning.

Trooper Brad Smith stopped the 1998 Oldsmobile mini-van at the 71 mile marker for a traffic violation. He said the driver, Edgar Cornejo, 38, of McAllen, Texas, was acting suspiciously.

Smith called for K9 assistance. After a search, the packages of marijuana were found submerged inside the gas tank.

Investigators said the marijuana was headed for Toledo, Ohio and had an estimated street value of $75,000.

Cornejo was arrested and taken to the Marion County Processing Center. He was charged with dealing marijuana and possession of marijuana, both class C felonies.
