Pennsylvania Officer Struck While Directing Traffic

A police officer is recovering after being struck by a car while he was directing traffic in Millvale.

MILLVALE, Pa. --

A police officer is recovering after being struck by a car while he was directing traffic in Millvale.

Officer Scott Bailey was struck on the Route 28 side of the 40th Street Bridge shortly before 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said Bailey was taken to Allegheny General Hospital with head, neck, shoulder and leg injuries. He is in fair condition.

There's no word on whether charges will be filed against the driver.
