N.Y. Officer Critically Injured in Pursuit Crash

An unidentified Nassau County officer was critically injured in crash Monday afternoon, police officials report.


A Nassau County police officer was critically injured in crash during a pursuit, reports Newsday.com.

The crash originated in Massapequa and closed the eastbound Southern State Parkway.

The officer, who was not yet identified to the media, was in critical but stable condition after being airlifted to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow.

The suspect in the pursuit is "at-large," Newsday reported, and details of the pursuit were not immediately known.
