SAN ANTONIO --

A police chase on the city's far Northwest Side ended in a crash and put a 1-year-old child in danger.

Police said a man robbed the Wing Station in the 9300 block of Culebra Road at around 11 p.m. Monday.

Investigators said the robber walked into the restaurant with a gun and took off with some cash.

Witnesses saw the man flee in a Chevy Cavalier and called police.

Officers spotted the car and tried to pull the man over but he sped away and a chase ensued.

The man drove down Culebra Road to Joe Newton Road, but reached a dead-end, lost control of the car and slammed into a utility pole.

Police noticed a woman and 1-year-old child were also in the car. No one was injured.

Police said the car was stolen and the robber would be charged with aggravated robbery, endangering a child, evading arrest and theft of a vehicle.

Police have not said whether the woman inside the car would face any charges.
