FORD CITY, Pa. --

Police in Ford City said they arrested a man for having explosive chemicals inside of his home and threatening to blow up police cars.

Channel 11's Courtney Brennan reported that Dennis Amber Jr., 33, was arrested at his apartment on Cypress Alley earlier this week.

"There were four cop cars, an unmarked cop car, state police, Hazmat truck, two K-9s," said one neighbor. "I heard that he threatened to bomb the Ford City police."

According to the criminal complaint, Amber made similar threats in July and found the chemical TATP in his home. Police said that's the same explosive the infamous shoe bomber used.

Police continue to investigate. No word on what charges Amber will face.
