Three Suffolk County Police officers rescued a man tonight who waspinned under his car while changing a flat tire.

Robert Powers was in the CVS parking lot at 305 Main Street in Holbrook changing a flat tire on his 1992 Ford Suburban when the jack moved. The Suburban slipped onto Powers, pinning him on the chest.

Sixth Precinct Officers Matthew Siesto, Michael Saletel, and Francesco Saracino responded to his 911 call at approximately 12:25 a.m. When they could not pull Powers free, they used a hydraulic jack to lift the car enough to pull Powers out.

Powers, 51, of Lake Ronkonkoma, was transported by Ronkonkoma Rescue to Stony Brook University Medical Center, where he was treated fornon-life-threatening injuries.
