Baltimore City Officer Involved In 3-Car Crash

A city police officer was involved in a crash with two other vehicles Thursday afternoon in west Baltimore.

BALTIMORE --

A city police officer was involved in a crash with two other vehicles Thursday afternoon in west Baltimore.

The crash happened about 2 p.m. near West Madison Street and Cathedral Street in Mount Vernon.

Police said the officer suffered leg injuries and was taken to Shock Trauma.

Two other people were taken to hospitals for injuries they sustained in the crash. Their injuries weren't believed to be life-threatening.

Accident investigators are looking into what happened.

No further details were released.
