LOUISVILLE, Ky. --

A 23-year-old man is in custody, accused of crashing into a Metro police officer.

Police said that Ethanial Hall was going the wrong way when he hit a patrol car at the intersection of Second and Hill streets. Hall wasn't the owner of the 2004 Ford Explorer he was driving, investigators said.

Hall told police he had a few drinks Saturday night.

Investigators said that Hall had a blood alcohol level of .17.

According to police, Hall was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, third-degree assault of a police officer, criminal mischief and failure of non-owner operators to maintain insurance.

Louisville Metro Police said the officer suffered minor injuries.
