ST. CLOUD, Fla. --

A St. Cloud police officer was flown to a hospital Friday afternoon after being struck by a car while riding a motorcycle, authorities said.

The officer, whose name has not been released, was headed to a three-car crash at 13th Street and Montana Avenue about 1 p.m. when he was struck on 13th Street at Georgia Avenue in St. Cloud, according to police.

Witnesses said the officer was weaving in and out of traffic with his lights on when he went through an intersection, and a driver making a left turn did not see him.

The officer was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center. He is in serious but stable condition.

No one else was seriously injured in the crash, police said.
