A motorcycle police officer sustained minor injuries after being hit by another vehicle on Farrington Highway Saturday.

The crash occurred around 11:38 a.m. Saturday on Farrington Highway near Hakimo Road in Nanakuli.

Officials say the driver of another vehicle made an illegal right turn, hitting the motorcycle cop.

Police shutdown Hakimo Road between Farrington Highway and Akowai Road while they investigated.

The closure was also necessary because of road work being done on a nearby traffic light.
