BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. --
Police in Boynton Beach said a suspect tried to rob an officer during an undercover investigation Wednesday afternoon.
The incident occurred near Gateway Boulevard and Federal Highway.
Boynton Beach police said officers were conducting an undercover investigation when one of the suspects tried to rob an officer with a gun. Police said backup officers were called to the scene, and three suspects were taken into custody.
Details were not immediately known.
