LAS VEGAS --
Grabbing everything in sight, about 35 unarmed teenagers poured into a Las Vegas convenience store near Sunset and Pecos roads last Saturday morning.
Store owner Jon Athey said his lone worker could only do one thing: sit back and watch as the teens stole alcohol, snacks and whatever else they could carry out the door.
"Once he realized what was going on, he just stepped back, closed the cash register door, and watched everything he could until he had the chance to call (for help)," Athey said.
Athey said the teens stole about $600 in merchandise.
Las Vegas Metro police described the three minute swarm burglary as "group thug mentality."
