New Jersey State Police Trooper Anthony Fotiou died suddenly in the line of duty on March 28, reports the Press of Atlantic City.

New Jersey State Police Trooper Anthony Fotiou died suddenly in the line of duty on March 28, reports the Press of Atlantic City.

Fotiou, 53, died while conducting commercial vehicle inspections at the Carney's Point Scales in Carneys Point Township.

He was a member of the 109th State Police Class and enlisted in the Division of State Police on November 19, 1987, the paper reports. He previously served as a sergeant in the United States Air Force.

Services were held Saturday, April 2 at the Wimberg Funeral Home in Egg Harbor City, N.J. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to:
