Oregon Motorcyclist Arrested for Going 107 MPH

Oregon State Police, with help from Douglas County sheriff’s deputies, arrested a man who they say was driving 107 mph near Camas Valley without wearing a helmet.

CAMAS VALLEY, Ore. --

Oregon State Police, with help from Douglas County sheriff’s deputies, arrested a man who they say was driving 107 mph near Camas Valley without wearing a helmet.

Troopers say they spotted Nicholas Houck on Highway 42 just before 7 p.m. Tuesday and tried to pull him over.

Troopers say Houck then led them on a chase and eventually stopped after about one mile.

Houck, of Camas Valley, now faces charges of felony attempt to elude, reckless driving and driving while suspended. Troopers also cited Houck for driving 107 mph in a 55 mph speed zone.

Camas Valley is about 25 miles southwest of Roseburg.
