HAPPY VALLEY, Ore. --

A Gresham police detective is accused of driving under the influence in an unmarked police department car.

Clackamas County deputies were called to a crash on Southeast 172nd Avenue just south of Foster Road at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

That's when Detective Jason Servo crashed his car into a ditch, says Gresham Police Chief Craig Junginger.

After making sure Servo wasn't injured, deputies took him into custody on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was cited and released at a Happy Valley police station.

Servo has been an officer with the Gresham Police Department for 10 years. He was immediately placed on administrative leave by the department.
