ATLANTA --

A crash between a police officer and another car has left an adult and a 13-year-old with serious injuries.

Authorities said the wreck occurred at West Lake Avenue and Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway just before 4 p.m. Sunday.

Police said the officer was responding to an “officer help call” when a silver car came into the intersection. The officer then hit the car, sending it into a jeep.

The 13-year-old and the adult driver were rushed to the hospital where they were listed in critical condition, according to authorities.

Investigators said the officer was also taken to an area hospital, but did not release the officer’s condition.
