CINCINNATI --

Prosecutors said a woman kicked a sheriff's deputy and damaging a police cruiser on Thursday.

Deputies said the incident began when an Ohio state trooper pulled over Alexis Passmore in a restaurant parking lot in Colerain Township for a traffic violation.

The trooper said he detected the smell of what may have been marijuana as he escorted Passmore back to her car.

When the trooper asked for permission to search the vehicle, he said Passmore said no and tried to drive away, slamming her door on the trooper's arm.

A sheriff's deputy assisting Passmore got her out of the car, but said Passmore kicked him in the head while he tried to get her into his cruiser.

Prosecutors said Passmore kicked out a passenger window on the cruiser as it headed for the Hamilton County Justice Center.

Passmore was charged with two counts of assault, vandalism and obstructing official business.
