Calif. Cop Recovering After Early Morning Collision

A Berkeley police officer was recovering Saturday morning after being hit by another car while patrolling the city.

BERKELEY, Calif. --

A Berkeley police officer was recovering Saturday morning after being hit by another car while patrolling the city.

Berkeley police said that just after 2 a.m. a female officer was driving northbound on Sacramento when another car hit her patrol car in the intersection of Sacramento and Fairview.

The officer and two people from the other car had to be taken to the hospital, but the officer was expected to be okay.

There was no word on the condition of the other people involved Saturday morning.
