SEATTLE --

A Seattle police officer acknowledged Tuesday that he mistakenly wrote in a report that he used force against a teen suspect during a "struggle" at a convenience store in October, The Seattle Times reported.

Surveillance video from the store shows no struggle taking place, and the officer, James J. Lee, acknowledged that during a related criminal trial, the Times reported.

The video does show Lee entering the convenience store and kicking the juvenile suspect in the leg, chest and face.

Shortly before the incident, a group of men punched and tried to rob an undercover Seattle police officer during a phony drug buy. Two men were taken into custody but three others ran off.

The incident occurred while Lee was trying to track down the other three people.
